We got there around 6:30pm and got ready to head out. We spent most of the time sailing around the fjord/ We saw all the beautiful and expensive houses on the water which were just amazing. We also saw some of the beaches along the water and finally we saw the Koldingfjord hotel and restaurant which apparently the restaurant is the most high end and expensive restaurant in all of Kolding. The hotel used to be a place where they would quarantine people when they were sick and there’s a house next door where the doctor used to live. (Once we got home I discovered that right near here is the Danish Nursing Museum which I’m planning to visit before I leave as well). It was really cool to see everything from the water. :)

We finally decided it would be a good idea to turn around and head back and we did so just in time. Joe took over the sailing and for a while had a lot of great wind. The only thing I don’t like about sailing is when the wind is blowing and the boat is tipping and it feels like you’re going to tip right over but I was assured many times that the boat would not tip. :) Eventually we weren’t tipping so much and it was more fun, for me at least. We got just about to the dock when the wind decided that it had enough. Really? No wind in Denmark!? We were still inching slowly towards the dock and eventually we decided to use the power of a paddle to help get us there. Joe guided us in perfectly and we closed things up and rode our bikes home.Amanda Sailing

We really had a wonderful time out on the water and it was a great night for it. The sunset was beautiful too! What a great experience it was! :)
Love from Amanda
